Aék Coffee is a contemporary specialty cafe, built around quality, community, and the everyday ritual of slowing down.

This minimal identity was designed to balance refinement with approachability, creating a brand that feels equally at home on a takeaway cup, a retail shelf, or within the café environment itself.

Overview

Aek Coffee is a specialty cafe brand built around a simple idea: good coffee shouldn’t feel intimidating.

The brand takes a more approachable view of specialty coffee – making it feel familiar, easy to engage with and part of everyday life, without losing its quality or character.

The identity brings this idea to life through a distinctive logo, considered typography and a warm, flexible colour palette. The brand system was designed to work seamlessly across packaging, menus, merchandise, signage and digital touch-points.

Process

The project started by defining Aek’s position within the growing specialty coffee category and identifying an opportunity to make the brand feel more accessible.

From there, the identity was developed across logo, typography, colour and brand assets. Each element was tested across real brand applications and against the wider category to ensure Aek had a clear and recognisable presence.

Outcome

The final identity gives Aek a clear and recognisable presence within the specialty coffee space, with a visual system built to work across everything from packaging and menus to signage and digital.
